What is the creative process for a brand shooting?
Firstly, we have a discovery call to get to know each other, your wishes for the shoot and discuss packages and extend of the shooting(s). When you booked me I brainstorm on the mood and locations for the shooting. According to your brands vision and color palette we work out a brand photography concept together. It can be natural and simple (inspired by a certain location) or have a motif, story to tell, or some arty elements and props involved (plant leaves, fruits, glitter, interior objects). We also do model scouting, book a make-up artist and scedule the shooting day(s). If you have a question about the process behind the shooting, just contact me or sign up for a discovery call!
Yes, travelling for work and shooting abroad is a big asset of my services. I am based in Austria, where I shoot in Vienna as well as in the country side or the mountains and I travel regularily: You can send your products to me so I take them to the jungle or the sea (Mexiko, Costa Rica, Bali, Ibiza etc.) This service is especially interesting for spring and summer collections, because I am always abroad in winter (Jan - March) to shoot for the summer season. If you have a brand in the art, fashion or creative industry or simply want to position yourself with an arty style, you may consider choosing film: Working with analog film creates an aesthetic authenticity and soft vintage veneer that makes it so distinctive. The result: Pictures with more contrast, soft light transitions and washed-out colors that seem like taken in a past world, still timeless. You can add the use of analog pictures per film roll or have the whole shooting done in analog film.

How do you integrate the empowerment of women in your brand photography?
I firmly believe something has to change when it comes to capturing a women’s body for marketing purposes. I am a strong supporter of practicing body positivity and working with models with diverse body types, showing a woman feeling beautiful and natural in her own body. Additionally, I want to convey the natural beauty of women and distance myself from the old-fashioned “sex sells” approach and look of a model. I achieve this by building a personal relationship with the women I work, encouraging them to show their real emotions and faces, rather than a “sexy look” that is wanted in the fashion industry.
